In fact, her eyes and cape having a space motif hints more strongly to her being part of the research to make an Aether Archon. So Paimon having blueish eyes at this stage doesn’t discount that she is a prototype to the full-fledged homuncular vessel of Kiana. Kiana Kaslana has blue eyes when not in her Herrscher form. We know Paimon is related to the Archons as her name appears in Ars Goetia as one of the 72 demons, along with Barbatos, Morax, and Baal. One of these prototypes is Paimon, who due to her size is likely a prototype of a first step homuncular. Kiana Kaslana is a clone, and since the Unknown God is a product of Alchemic research it is likely there were prototypes of her. She is in fact Kiana Kaslana, Herrshcer of the Void, a character who while having undeniable design similarities to the Unknown God also shares a voice actress in the Chinese version of the game. Tevyat exists in the Honkaiverse, with many of its characters also having roles in the universe of Honkai Impact 3. Alberich though wanted to use their power to bring down Celestia and the Archons, liberating the rest of the world from their arrogation because he believed it would allow them to flourish as Khaenri'ah had. Through Khemia, Gold sought not only to make an army of shadowy monsters, but man-made Archons as well, to protect Khaenri'ah from the outside world. The Unknown God, however, is a homunculus creation in its final step (her color scheme is quite literally black, white, yellow, and red and yes, Albedo wears yellow, but more to symbolize his search to find where Gold’s research went wrong). With the main four steps of Alchemy being Nigredo (blackening), Albedo (whitening), Citrinitas (yellowing), and Rubedo (reddening). It was believed to be the starting block for the “ Philosophers’ Stone”, a stone which allows someone to reach immortality-likely an 8th Gnosis aligned with the element Aether.Īlbedo, as his name suggests, is a homunculus creation in its second step.

The Genesis Pearl is the “ Prima Materia” from Alchemy, a stone made of all elements. In Das Rheingold, Alberich (likely Kaeya Alberich’s father) takes gold from the Rhein river, fashioning an all powerful ring from it (uses Gold’s strongest creation) which forces the Norse gods (Celestia and the Archons) to come down and seize it (the destruction of Kheanri’ah and search for the Genesis Pearl). The name Rhinedottir means daughter of Rhine and references Rheingold from Das Rheingold, a musical drama by Robert Wagner. Albedo is a homuncular, or a full-formed life form created via Alchemy, and while there are plenty of hints throughout his character we actually know that it was Rhinedottir, Gold’s daughter, who created him using the Genesis Pearl (big claim pls read sub points). While Albedo may be well-versed in the Art of Khemia, it is more impressive that he himself is a result of it. His research would one day result in the destruction of Khaenri’ah.Īfter its destruction, only a few links to Khaenri’ah remain through Kaeya, Dainsleif, and Albedo, but the Art of Khemia does survive and Albedo is proof of its potency. Gold was a master in the art and through it he pursued the creation of stronger and more powerful beings. Khaenri’ah was an underground nation naturally lacking in fauna, and because of this it specialized in the “Art of Khemia'', an advanced branch of Alchemy which focused on the creation of life. Who is the Unknown God? And why is she Paimon. The Luminiferous Aether Experiments, which were meant to prove the existence of Aether as a medium in which light propagated within a void, all failed to do so and it was one of the biggest scientific disappointments in history.īased on the previous points, it is my theory that Mihoyo is shaping the storyline so that Aether saves Lumine from The Abyss (Kingdom of Darkness) and her current ailment (read below), proving himself where no one else could, that Aether is the one true Archon of Aether. Plato's student, Aristotle, would later shape the theory further and it would continue being discussed for nearly 2000 years. In ~360 BC, Plato proposed the existence of a 5th element, Aether. Some Greek myths attribute Aether (the Greek god)'s creation to Erebus, the Primordial God of Darkness whose dark mists filled the hollows of earth (translates in game to the Abyss/Khaenri'ah). The storyline is based on the Greek Primordial God, Aether, and the Luminiferous Aether Experiments (Lumine and Aether’s namesake). No matter what Mihoyo said to please their fan base, Aether is the Canon twin.
